Abstract

The aim of this study was to standardize the method of preparing the extractive solution of Schinus terebinthifolius Raddi. The extractive solution was selected through a 23 factorial design, considering the extraction method (maceration and percolation), extractor solvent (ethanol 70°GL and water) and particle size (Fraction I: total particle and Fraction II: 710 μm ≥ φ ≥ 210 μm) of the plant material into a plant: solvente of 1:10 (m/v), using the dried residue as criterion of evaluation. The ANOVA analysis showed the importance of the extraction method, the extractive solvent and the size of the particles from plant material. The granulometry the most important factor in the process efficiency, independent of the method employed.
