Abstract
Phytotherapics correspond to an integrative and complementary practice for the prevention/treatment of diseases. Aiming to analyze the sales profile of phytotherapics sold in a pharmacy in a given municipality, the characteristics of phytotherapics dispensed quantitative, descriptive, documentary and cross-sectional research was carried out, collecting information from the electronic records of the pharmacy, between June 2019 and August 2020. During the study, 2.718 pharmaceutical presentations were marketed, being 88 phytotherapics, 70.5% simple phytotherapics and 29.5% compound phytotherapics. Pharmaceutical forms of the most frequently sold presentations were: tablets (46.6%), syrup (20.5%), capsules (10.2%). Simple phytotherapics frequently dispensed during the period were: Hepatilon® (17,2%), Seakalm® (12,7%), Valerimed® (6,9%), Ginkgo Vital® (6,7%), Ritmoneuran RTM (6,1%). Regarding the therapeutic classes of simple phytotherapics, there was a prevalence of anxiolytics (29%), colagogues (19%) and antivaricose (13%). The most commercialized herbal compounds were: Eparema® (62,9%), Melagrião® (13,8%), Figatil® (8,3%), Pasalix® (4,4%), Calman® (3%). The therapeutic classes most frequently dispensed from compound phytotherapics were: colagogues (71%) expectorants, (14%), anxiolytics (12%). These data, together with the literature, are important for reflection on phytotherapy and the promotion of the rational use of phytotherapics, as a simple and accessible medicine, which can contribute to the health and well-being of the population.
