For data collection, an interview was carried out with owners of homeopathic pharmacies who answered a previously elaborated questionnaire. The study evidenced expressively increasing of seven simple herbal medicines: Garlic Oil (Allium sativum L.), Unha de Gato (Uncaria tomentosa (Willd) D.C.), Equinácea (Echinacea purpurea (L.) Moench), Mulungu (Erythrina mulungu Mart.), Valeriana (Valeriana officinalis L.), Melissa (Melissa officinalis L.) and Passiflora (Passiflora incarnata L.). In addition to two herbal compounds: Bom Sono and Fitocalmante, both with Passiflora (Passiflora incarnata L.), Mulungu (Erythrina mulungu Mart.), Valeriana (Valeriana officinalis L.) and Melissa (Melissa officinalis L.). It was possible to verify the influence of the pandemic on the use of herbal medicines in the city of João Pessoa, due to the symptoms caused by Covid-19 and by the conditions imposed by the social isolation.
