Concern about the environment has been constant in recent times, especially when it comes to the proper use of waste, as it is improperly deposited and may contribute to harmful effects on the environment. In this sense, the objective of this work was to evaluate different phenolic compounds extraction methods and the antioxidant capacity of the maçaranduba wood residue. The sample collection was registered at ICMBio and the sawdust of wood was donated and collected from its secondary development in the industry. Subsequently, the material went through the process of drying, homogenization and extraction of phenolic compounds by different methods. The assisted ultrasound extraction method extracted more phenolic and flavonoid compounds and consequently obtained higher antioxidant capacity when compared to percolation, high pressure and soxhlet methods, demonstrating the potential of this wood residue.
